Gene Expression Studies

mRNA Sequencing

mRNA sequencing (mRNA-Seq) has rapidly become the method of choice for analyzing the gene expression of disease states, of biological processes, and across a wide range of study designs in various filed of genomics. In addition to being a highly sensitive and accurate means of quantifying the gene expression, mRNA-Seq can identify both known and novel transcript isoforms, gene fusions, and other features as well as allele-specific expression. mRNA-Seq delivers a complete view of the coding transcriptome that is not restricted by the filter of prior knowledge. At Novelgene we use Illumina based sequencing methods for the characterization of genes.

miRNA Sequencing

Next-generation sequencing technologies have revolutionized the study of small RNAs (sRNAs) on a genome-wide scale, Small RNAs (miRNAs) as key regulators of gene expression play fundamental roles in many biological processes, Here At Novelgene we utilize a set of published/customized tools to perform the miRNA analysis with detailed explanation. Particularly, the miRNA target prediction, DGE and its annotation may provide useful information for further experimental verification.

lncRNA Sequencing

Evidence accumulated over the past decade shows that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are widely expressed and have key roles in gene regulation. A significant fraction of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) prefers to stay in the nucleus and cooperate with protein complexes to modulate epigenetic regulation, phase separation, compartment formation, and nuclear organization. Here At Novelgene we use standard and customized methods for sample prep, library prep, sequencing and data analysis. We use Illumina based sequencing approach for this.
